Lost Media

You would expect a series like Uchi No 3 Shimai to have alot of lost media; it sure does.

This is not a complete list; there is more lost media than we even know is missing...

Pogo TV Dub [India]

*To clarify, we have no idea if this image is actually produced for the Pogo dub, or perhaps for Toei Animation's english website. However; this is the only image other than the text only Pogo website description, so I'll show it anyway. We have no more information than is listed here.

From this we can conclude that:

Fu has been romanized as 'Foo'
Su has been romanized as 'Soo'
March 22th, Monday, 5pm, 2010.
It's possible 'ii deso betsuni' has been translated as "Why not?" ...they're not wrong I suppose

Cantonese Dub [partial]

There is significant evidence that there was a large amount of the Cantonese dub available online a few years ago, however it has nearly all been taken down at this point. You can find what is available on Archive.org.

Korean and Chinese Dub [Movie]

*I can't confirm fully if these are lost, but I haven't found them able to be watched anywhere thus far.

The Korean version of the movie premiered in 2020, and the Chinese in 2021. Both have no footage online and are likely to get more lost as the years go by.

Announcement for 1st airing [T.V. TOKYO]

Before the anime first aired, there was a 'countdown' apparently to the premiere on TV Tokyo. The only way we know this happened was that Matsumoto herself posted about it on her main blog in 2008. There is little chance of ever finding this considering how rare TV Tokyo recordings [especially in 2008].

Ninben Commerical [alternate]

'Broadcasting around May 2009', the only evidence of this existing is the Dogatch staff blog. For Ninben's 310 anniversary. There was another [found] Ninben commerical; but this one seems to be different.

'Tie_up' blog brand collaborations

All made for various brands [e.g. baskin robbins] these included blog style drawings by Matsumoto Purritsu advertising a product. Due to these running from about 2007 ~ 2010, nearly all of them haven't been archived.

'LION' detergent commericals [not directly uchi no 3 shimai]

Around July 2011, the author illustrated these commericals; but only this clip has surfaced of them. There were multiple of them.

All mobile phone content

A mobile website with backgrounds, ringtones, e.g. for Japanese phones were offered, nothing was archived of it partially due to the difficulty of doing so on proprietary phone hardware.
